Privacy
The short version: friend-lock runs entirely in your browser. Your files and passwords never leave your device, and we don't collect anything.
In one line: no upload, no server, no account, no cookies, no tracking, no stored data. What happens on your device stays on your device.
Nothing. friend-lock is a static web page with no backend. There is no database and no account system. We do not collect, receive, or store your files, your passwords, your lock codes, or any personal data.
All encryption and decryption runs locally in your browser (as WebAssembly). Your files and passwords are never transmitted anywhere — there is literally no server for them to be sent to. You can save the page and use it fully offline.
friend-lock sets no cookies and runs no third-party trackers or advertising. If we ever add usage statistics, we will use a privacy-preserving, cookieless method that does not identify you.
The page is served as static files by our hosting provider. Like any web host, the provider may process limited technical data (such as your IP address) in standard server logs to deliver the page and protect against abuse. We do not use that data to identify or track you, and it is not combined with anything you do inside the app.
Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to access, correct, or delete. If you have any question, you can reach us via the project's GitHub repository.
